A Highly Personalized Experience
To preserve the intimate and interactive nature of this learning experience, the NexusIPE™ Senior Leaders Forum is accepting a limited number of participants. Apply early to reserve your spot! The application process requires three elements:
- A description of our NexusIPE™ Leadership Action Project
- A letter of nomination from a senior leader at your institution
- Your CV or resume
Why should my senior leader support my participation in the NexusIPE™ Leadership Forum?
- The next national leaders in interprofessional practice and education will be those who have established meaningful, impactful academic/ practice and academic/ community practices. The NexusIPE™ Senior Leaders Forum will support these next generation leaders to achieve health and learning outcomes that matter to their institutions and the people they serve.
- Academic institutions, health systems and social service providers are going through a time of tremendous change and challenge. Knowledge-based leadership offers a path forward to build on the successes of interprofessional practice and education and team-based care over the past two decades, while acknowledging that new workforce challenges, ongoing health equity gaps, and changing dynamics for both current and future health professionals requires new approaches and new skills for the future. The NexusIPE™ Senior Leaders Forum creates an opportunity for educators and practitioners to view our current challenges from a new lens and practice practical, hands-on work within their own institutions to drive positive change.
- The pandemic has exacerbated workforce challenges across health professions education programs and health delivery systems. The NexusIPE™ Senior Leaders Forum will prepare interprofessional leaders to develop and sustain meaningful partnerships that demonstrate real-world impact for Quadruple Aim outcomes that matter for institutions and the people they serve.
- Being a member of an effective team is now broadly recognized by researchers and health professionals themselves as protective against burnout and promoting job retention. Effective teams also demonstrate Quadruple Aim outcomes for the people served. Successful healthcare and social system leaders will need to develop new and enhanced strategies for improving interprofessional teamworking as one critical response to our current workforce crisis.
